Graft-versus-host disease in fully allogeneic small bowel transplantation: incidence of the disease and strain combinations.

چکیده
WE PREVIOUSLY reported that fully allogeneic small bowel transplantation (SB11 from Lewis (LEW) to Brown Norway (BN) rats caused fatal graftversus-host disease (GVHD) when the recipients were treated with a short course of FK 506. 1 Graft-versus-host disease has also been well described after parent to F 1 hybrid SBT,2 in which immune reaction between donor and recipient is completely unbalanced. This study was carried out to determine if certain strains or combinations were more or less susceptible to GVHD, similar to the parent to F I hybrid combination.

Assessment of Cyclosporine Serum Concentrations on the Incidence of Acute Graft versus Host Disease Post Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is a curative treatment option for hematological disorders. Cyclosporine (CsA) is one of the major immunosuppressive agents for the prophylaxis against graft versus host disease (GvHD). In this retrospective study, we evaluated the effects of CsA serum levels on the incidence of acute GvHD and transplant outcomes. 103 adult patients rece...

متن کاملPersistence of donor cells and incidence of graft-versus-host disease after simultaneous small bowel and bone marrow transplantation.
GRAFf-versus-host disease (GVHD) has always been a concern associated with small bowel transplantation, because of the large amount of matured lymphocytes contained in the graft. In clinical organ transplantation GVHD is not a common complication; however, it is usually fatal once developed. Because there is no suitable experimental model of GVHD associated with solid organ transplantation, stu...

Background: Graft-versus-host disease is one of the major complications after allogenic bone marrow transplantation, but it is not easy to anticipate the onset. Cytokines released by type 1 T-helper cells are thought to play a pivotal role in acute graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD). The ability to predict the likely occurrence of graft-versus-host-disease (GVHD) after BMT would be extremely val...

Background : Graft versus host disease (GVHD) is among major complications of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cells transplantation, and also is an important factor affecting the outcome of transplantation. An increased incidence of GVHD has been suggested following allogeneic peripheral blood stem cells (PBSC) transplantation, however, how this affects survival is not yet well clear. In this stu...
